Being technically orientated, he soon turned his attention on to telescopes and their hardware design. His fascination in engineering works, design and it’s never ending possibility to create anything imaginable, led him to expand his knowledge on the subject and followed courses related to the subject.

Back in 1991, he established a small engineering workshop to cater for general repairs, manufacturing of aviation support equipment and retrofitting of machinery. In 1998, he moved to a larger facility and by 2013, more equipment was gradually introduced. This opened new horizons on creating what he dreamt most about; that of designing and creating affordable top end astronomical equipment to the astronomical world. In July of that same year, AZZOMAT set off to design its first telescope accessories; the GM- 20 guide scope slow motion mount and attachments. After a year of painstakingly designing, prototyping and testing, these products are proudly being introduced to the market.
